Meet Our Presenter:
Melissa Grove, MS, LLPC

Melissa Grove is a strong advocate for people living with limb-girdle muscular dystrophy (LGMD), openly sharing her own experiences since her diagnosis with LGMD2I/R9 to help others feel less alone. She speaks at conferences like the Wellstone Center

Dystroglycanopathy Patient & Family Conference, Speak Foundation, and contributes to the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s peer connection programs and community storytelling (“Quest”) to raise awareness, build community, and support ongoing research. She is an Advisory Board member of CureLGMD2i and also an MDA Advocacy Captain.

A licensed therapist, Grove is active as a national speaker and consultant, with her expertise sought by pharmaceutical companies and in projects addressing mental health, chronic illness, Muscular Dystrophy, HIV advocacy, and relationship issues.
