Care and Connection That Matter

Access to care, trusted guidance, and meaningful programs that support individuals and families—every step of the way.

Become a Mentor. Make a Lasting Impact.

Share your experience. Inspire what’s next.

Every professional has lessons worth sharing. By volunteering as a mentor in the MDA Mentorship Program, you can help teens and young adults living with neuromuscular disease see new possibilities for their education and career paths.

In just a few sessions, you’ll give them something invaluable: confidence, encouragement, and practical guidance that lasts far beyond the program. And many mentors say they come away from this experience with a new perspective, too.

What Mentors Do

  • Guide: Share insights from your career and personal journey.
  • Encourage: Help participants recognize their strengths and build confidence.
  • Support: Provide practical advice on education, career options, and workplace readiness.
  • Inspire: Show young people what’s possible through real-world examples.

Why Mentor with MDA?

  • Real impact: 93% of participants report greater interest in pursuing education or careers after the program.
  • Professional growth: Sharpen your own leadership and communication skills.
  • Accessible: All sessions are virtual, time-limited, and designed to fit your schedule.
  • Community: Join a network of mentors committed to making workplaces more inclusive.
