  • A low-pressure system is expected to become Tropical Storm Barry today (7/11) and may become a hurricane by early Friday (7/12) night.
  • Heavy rain from Friday through Sunday combined with a surging Mississippi River increases the potential for severe flooding
  • Louisiana is under a State of Emergency.
    • Hurricane, tropical storm and storm-surge watches have been issued.
    • Isolated tornadoes are a possibility.
