Meet Our Presenter:
Deidre Devier, MSW, PhD
Dr. Devier was trained in behavioral neuroscience at the University of New Mexico and in the Geriatric Psychiatry Department at Columbia University where she studied aging and cognitive decline associated with neurodegenerative disorders. She conducted research at the Columbia University Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and the New York State Psychiatric Institute. After completing her postdoctoral fellowship, she joined the faculty in the LSUHSC – NO Department of Neurology as an integral member of the Neurology Clinic and the Brain and Behavior Research Program. Dr. Devier is actively involved in the LSUHSC – NO Muscular Dystrophy Association MD and ALS clinics, working with patients and their family members through the intricacies of living with and receiving care for their neurodegenerative disorders.
