Mentorship Programs

Turn your What If Into Here's How
All young people should be able to see the possibilities ahead of them. For teens and young adults living with neuromuscular disease, the MDA Mentorship Program opens doors to new opportunities, confidence and career pathways. This month-long, virtual program connects participants (ages 14-22) with experienced mentors who share insights, guidance and encouragement, all in an accessible, inclusive setting.
How the Program Works:
- Personalized mentoring – Participate in small group sessions matched to participants’ career interests
- Career-readiness tools – Join panel discussions on identifying strengths, workplace accommodations, networking, and applying for jobs
- Community and connection - Build relationships with peers and mentors who understand the realities of living with a neuromuscular disease
- Hands-on projects - Apply new skills in real-world ways with support from mentors
