MDA Virtual Learning: Navigating Challenging Behaviors in Children with NMD

  • Provide an overview of possible behavior challenges seen in children with neuromuscular disease, including those with dual diagnoses (i.e., muscular dystrophy and autism or ADHD).
  • Offer positive behavior support strategies that parents/caregivers can implement to manage challenging behaviors.
  • Share resources including when and how to seek additional supports and services.
