It transforms imagination into reality and brings pure joy to the families we serve at the Muscular Dystrophy Association,” said Morgan Roth, Chief Marketing Officer, Muscular Dystrophy Association. “This opportunity isn’t just about creating an epic costume, it’s about celebrating creativity, self-expression, and advocacy. Each design reminds us of the limitless imagination and strength within our community, and how inclusion and joy go hand in hand.”

“As someone living with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and part of the Muscular Dystrophy Association community, this partnership holds deep meaning for me,” said Christine Getman, Executive Director, Magic Wheelchair. “Together, we’re not just building costumes, we’re building confidence, visibility, and encouraging people to advocate for their dreams. Each recipient's idea becomes a powerful reminder that disability and creativity are powerful. Additional Community Engagement for Halloween

MDA Let’s Play Online Community Celebrating Halloween
MDA Let's Play – an online community that connects people living with neuromuscular disease through shared social and gaming experiences – will host its annual Halloween celebration on Saturday, October 25 at 7pm ET in the MDA Let’s Play Discord and on Twitch. MDA Let’s Play provides a welcoming space where participants can gather, create, and build friendships from home. This year’s Halloween event continues that tradition with a festive, hands-on activity where pre-registered community members will assemble Haunted Cookie House kits together live during the event. All community members participating on Discord or watching on Twitch can join the fun by cheering on participants and voting for their favorite spooky creations. The evening will also feature a costume showcase and contest, giving everyone the chance to celebrate the season, show off their creativity, and connect in a lighthearted, inclusive atmosphere. The Halloween celebration reflects MDA Let’s Play’s mission to offer accessible, social, and family-friendly experiences that bring the MDA community together online.

MDA is grateful for the continued support from our longtime partners at International Association of Fire Fighters, CITGO Petroleum Corporation, and the National Association of Letter Carrier.
