Welcome to MDA’s Distinguished Events Training Page for Event Volunteers! Here you will find training materials and resources that will help you in your volunteer role.

Event Volunteer Role Description:

Volunteers are essential to MDA’s mission of transforming the lives of people living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases. We are seeking volunteers to assist with MDA’s Distinguished Events: Golf Outings. At this time, this will be an in-person volunteer opportunity. As a volunteer in this role, you will help recruit and lead volunteers in various markets across the country.

Volunteer opportunities will be available in various cities across the country. Attending a local live golf tournament will be necessary for this opportunity.  Responsibilities include but not limited to participate in trainings, recruit local volunteers in key markets, train new local volunteers, coordinate volunteer assignments, event execution including but not limed to event set up, registration, beverage distribution, photograph guests, auction management, event banquet execution, event breakdown… and more! This opportunity will require the ability to lift 50lbs, work outdoors for 4-8 hours, engage with sponsors and a positive attitude.
