This webinar will explore strategies to enhance detection in newborn screening, streamline follow-up testing, and improve communication of positive results to ensure timely referral and prevent loss to follow-up.

Learning Objectives: 

Recognize NMDs included on NBS list, nationally and locally, and the rationale and implications of those being considered for inclusion
Identify ways to improve detection and confirmation of NMD using NBS and follow-up testing
Explore ways to overcome challenges in communicating positive NBS cases to ensure timely referral to specialists, without loss in continuity of care
