An MDA partner since 2001, Lowe's takes great pride in improving the communities it serves and making a difference in the lives of individuals and families in those communities. Through funds raised during the annual Shamrock program, Lowe's and its customers send thousands of local children living with muscle disease to weeklong MDA summer camps across the country. Nearly 1,800 Lowe's stores support the Shamrock campaign – buying, selling and decorating store walls with shamrock mobiles. You can also find dedicated Lowe's employees often volunteering at MDA summer camps, helping kids develop lifelong friendships, build self-confidence and enjoy a week that's free of barriers. To date, Lowe's and its loyal customers have raised more than $50 million to support MDA's mission.
"At Lowe's, we're committed to supporting programs that make our communities better places to live. We partner with MDA to support its life-saving mission and help give children with muscle disease a life-changing experience at camp. I can't explain the emotion you feel when you attend an MDA camp. It gives us a profound sense of pride to partner with customers to help families who are living in our communities."
Bill Edwards, Lowe's Senior Vice President of Store Operations
