MDA's Search for a Treatment or Cure

DEAR FRIENDS...

As the wife of someone with myasthenia gravis, I know all too well the devastating effects this disease can produce. And as the chairperson of the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Myasthenia Gravis Division, I'm also aware of the tremendous effort MDA is making to combat this disease -- both in providing quality medical care and other services and in its never-ending search for treatments and a cure.

This brochure has been written to answer the questions patients and families ask most often about myasthenia gravis and Lambert-Eaton syndrome. Within its pages, you'll learn about symptoms, causes, how these diseases affect different parts of the body, and much more. You'll also find out how MDA is working to help people affected by myasthenia gravis and Lambert-Eaton syndrome and about the services the Association can offer if you suspect you or someone you know may have one of these diseases.
