WEB SITE'S TELETHON PAGE OFFERS NEW LOOK, NEW LINKS
MDA's Web site, www.mda.org, has a new look. The site currently opens with a special "splash screen" featuring the 1999 Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. (Go to the splash screen, or see illustration.)
The Telethon page is part of the redesigned Web site, which offers a few new features and is easier to use. The redesign was introduced in August.

For a taste of the 1999 Telethon, users can see and hear three 30-second videos featuring past entertainers, comedians and country music performers. Or they can read announcements about this year's show by clicking "More Telethon."
The Telethon page also offers:
- a list of local television stations and start times for the show
- a list of viewing times for the Telethon Webcast in any country in the world
- Telethon e-postcards, which users can send to friends and family members who have e-mail addresses
- a link to "MDA en español" the Web site's new Spanish-language section
- a link to MDA's home page and the rest of its Web site
On Sunday, Sept. 5, new buttons will appear on the Telethon page, allowing viewers to choose one of three languages in which to see the Internet's first ever multilingual Webcast. The Telethon can be viewed on the MDA Web site in Spanish, Japanese or English.  |
