Todd Galli

How:

Recruits volunteers to assist people with disabilities on and off airplanes, trains and ships. Working with Canada-based aircraft manufacturer Bombardier to equip existing 20- to 90-passenger regional jets with wheelchair lifts designed and built by Cadence Engineering.

Todd says:

I planned a hiking trip back in 1999 and 2000 and it took seven months of planning. We built a specialized wheelchair so I could hike in the central Sierras for about a week. At one point I was hiking down the side of a mountain, and I was thinking it would be great to have this kind of access for everybody, especially in air and train travel.

Were always looking for more volunteers and support. Were just trying to change the world one person at a time.
