SPECIALTY CELEBRITY ITEMS ATTRACT
BIDDERS IN ONLINE AUCTION

Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon Online Auction
Continues Through Sept. 15!

TUCSON, Ariz., Sept. 14, 2009 – A number of popular celebrity-themed and unique experience specialty items have garnered top bids in the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Telethon Online Auction.

The auction began Sept. 1 in conjunction with the 44th annual Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. All proceeds benefit the Association.

Hundreds of items donated by celebrities, sports figures, MDA sponsors and other friends of the Association are listed in such categories as Celebrity and Sports Memorabilia, Unique Experiences, Travel, Electronics and Kids.

"This is where it gets exciting," MDA National Chairman and Telethon star Jerry Lewis said. "Every bid brings someone closer to one of these fantastic items, just as it brings MDA closer to cures for muscular dystrophy and related diseases."

Popular items up for bid include:

  • A 2010 VIP Package to the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon.
  • Two roundtrip tickets from Los Angeles to Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne, Australia on V Australia Airlines.
  • A 2009 FLSTSB Softtail Cross Bones Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
  • A two-night stay in a two-bedroom suite at the AKA Times Square hotel and four orchestra seats to the Broadway musical “Wicked.”
  • Two concert tickets and two meet and greet passes to see Daughtry in Peoria, Ill.

Other items garnering attention in the early bidding include: a John Edward psychic medium package; four tickets to his show and a meet and greet with ventriloquist Terry Fator; meet and greets with “Days of Our Lives” stars Alison Sweeney (Sami), James Scott (EJ), Galen Gering (Rafe) and Bryan Dattilo (Lucas); a VIP package for a tour of the “Days of Our Lives” set with Alison Sweeney, including airfare and hotel; a behind-the-scenes tour of “General Hospital” and lunch with Brandon Barash (Johnny Zacchara); a Dr Pepper VIP NCAA Football experience; a Jerry Lewis 2009 autographed Oscar photo; World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) items from Superstars John Cena and Triple H; several Jerry Lewis autographed items; and much more.
