Empire State Building Shines for MDA

In recognition of the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon, New York City’s Empire State Building will put on a special lighting display from Aug. 29 through Sept. 1.

The upper levels of the building will be bathed in alternating blue and white lights from sunset to midnight, all three nights.

Recognition for MDA is part of the building’s “Lighting Partner” program that helps promote the activities of charitable organizations throughout the year.

“We’re pleased the Empire State Building has acknowledged MDA’s work,” said Jerry Lewis, MDA National Chairman and star of the Telethon. “The Empire State Building is an American icon, so it’s an honor to partner with the organization and see the MDA blue up in lights this Telethon weekend.”
