MDA JOINS FORCES WITH SALVATION ARMY’S
“ANGEL GIVING TREE” PROGRAM

Tucson, Ariz., Nov. 24, 2003 — The national headquarters of the Muscular Dystrophy Association will serve as one of the official drop-off locations for the Salvation Army’s “Angel Giving Tree” Program.

New, unwrapped toys, books or sporting equipment for children and teenagers may be delivered to the MDA lobby, 3300 E. Sunrise Drive, weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., through Dec. 18.

This year MDA staff members in Tucson are joining KGUN 9, MDA’S “Love Network” station that airs the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon on Labor Day weekend, in support of the “Angel Giving Tree” Program, which provides holiday gifts to local area children in need.

MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education. MDA’s national headquarters have been located in Pima County since 1991.
