  • We miss you my friend. I joined MDA in the 1990's at WGME in Portland, Maine. Kim and Doug will miss you. Tiffany and the gang at MDA in Westbrook will also miss you. MDA, Carson, and Star Search. 1) Find a cure for Jerry's Kids, Johnny's sidekick, and always reach for stars. It's not a joke, but it's real for our buddy. HIHO!!!!!!!. Jerry good luck at the telethon and "Always a dollar more than last year."

  • Others have said it all. What a loss. It will be strange and sad to watch the MDA Telethon without Mr. McMahon. May he rest in peace. He will if we can get that "just one dollar more." Please dig deep, folks.

  • Ed was my best friend. Although our relationship started out as me being his announcer, our association grew into a partnership that I wlll treasure all my life. Ed always told me that he wanted to leave a legacy of being the personality that always was kind, considerate and polite to his fans. That legacy lives. Our friendship was so unique, that a day never passed without us talking to each other 5 or 6 times. Pam and his entire family have suffered a great loss, as have millions of people around the world. Life just feels different now without Ed. My love goes out to his wife and family and to the family of the MDA, for which he worked so hard for and was so dedicated to. Ed, I love and miss you and may God place his hand on your shoulder and smile with pride with your work on earth.

  • Ed McMahon was a class act. I never heard him speak negatively about anyone in any interview he did. That alone say alot, especially in Hollywood!

  • Although I did not get the chance to meet Mr. Mahon I feel like I knew him. I grew up watching him on television and loved him most on Star Search. I can help but say the earth will surely miss him but please know that he is in a much better place. The Angels are lucky to have him in the heavens.

  • Jerry & Ed, peanut butter & jelly, salt & sugar... It's tough to replace good jelly and sugar. How the King of the HIYO can be replaced, man tough choice. But let's all remember an Edless telethon, yes it's sad, but in a tough economy, still a breadless telethon, that's real bad.

  • Yes Jerry, it's going to be so very hard to watch the telethon this year! Such a tremendous loss to you my dear sweet Jerry Lewis! I was a big fan of Ed and watched him on the Tonight Show every night! Tears flow in my eyes when he says "Here's Johnny!" Such a great man; I loved him on Star Serch too! I say thanks for the memories and I know you'll have a big tribute for Ed because he will be watching from up there! All my best to you Jerry Lewis and your kids! Thank you so much! God loves you and so do I!

  • Ed was like the grandpa I never had. When he passed, and even right now as I type this, you can't help but think "Big Ed" is smiling with a Bud or Martini - some sort of drink in hand, and "toasting" MDA for their hard work. No one can replace Ed on the telethon - only attempt to fill in - what astonishes me, if any of you have the pleasure of watching the old telethons - is how he addressed a tote board for 41 years. As an aspiring broadcaster, I can think of maybe, 10 ways to call for a timpani - Ed knew 100. Mr. McMahon was nice enough to send me an autographed picture some years back wishing me luck with my career. What a thrill, and what class he had, even with his recent troubles. To Ed and his entire family, MDA included - We will miss you. I will be at the telethon in New York again this year, doing my best "impersonation" of you with the utmost respect and love.

  • Ed McMahon was a hero to a lot of us. All my life I hated the disease in body taking away my life slwoly. But Every year when it came around to the telethon I would stay up the whole time and just watch it, cause it gave us all hope. And I feel that Ed McMahon showed us all that there are people out there in this world that are truly kind and are right there supporting us through our hard times. He will truly be missed and live in our hearts forever. We will miss you our Dear Friend.
