- Ed was the best sidekick for Jerry during the show and had so much fun.
Paul Calienes - I'm truly sorry about the passing of Ed McMahon I know he was a true friend your's for many years. Just be strong to get through the loss of your anchorman. The Jackson's lost their beloved sibling, you should do the same o.k. I think at the beginning of the telethon, have your people behind the scenes place a message stating this. "This presention of this years labor day telethon is dedicated in memory of Ed McMahon". That way many will see how much we on T.V. appreciate on what he's done. Take care.
Michael Flynn - Mr. Lewis, I've grown up watching the telethon,and have given often to the fire fighters boot drive. It was a pleasure meeting you in Baltimore in 1995,and a thrill of my life as well. It's a shame we lost the great Ed Mcmahon this year, I know you will pay tribute to him before you begin. Just know that he will be sadly missed. God bless you for your continued dedication to the children who suffer from this terrible disease. Just know too, that you are loved and appreciated for your talent and charitible work for MDA, and show business. Godspeed, Mr. Lewis!
Sharon Zarrow - I will try to watch the telethon like I always have for years, but in my heart there will be something missing... Ed.. you both always cracked me up with your jokes. He will be missed.
Sam Segal - No celebrity worked as hard as ED McMahon to back you and MDA up every year. As a Philadelphian, he made me proud of his work. The man was a first class hero and entertainer. He never complained and was always there at the telethons. We will all miss him, but hang in there and work harder this year for ED!
David Mowery - It’s such a great loss losing Ed Mcmahon thank god we had him on this earth for the time we did god rest his soul. jerry as always i'm her ready to help you like always god bless you my friend and god bless you for what you do for the MDA.
Allen Stanley - I too was very saddened by the passing of Ed McMahon. He will be greatly missed. The Telethon Mr Lewis will go on, it will be very difficult for you since he will not be by your side or calling for a new roll of the numbers. Remember that Ed will always be a part of the MDA Telethon. May our father in heaven bless those that give this year in our help to find a cure.
Wayne Miles - Dear Jerry, For years I have been a watcher and supporter of your kids. I have always considered them my kids as well (hope you don't mind). It's not going to be the same without Ed McMahon on the program, and I know that you will do well and you will continue to have his support. Now that he is in a better place he will be able to be right by your side and help you in higher ways. All my love!

I was really happy to watch you and the late Ed McMahon do this annual fund raiser for 42 years as your very special friend on your telethon. And as this year's MDA telethon is dedicated to your dear friend Ed McMahon, America will miss his splendid talent and his great sense of humor. May God Bless him at his great stage in the sky.
