In 2006, Mandi won an Award of Excellence in a contest sponsored by VSA arts and Volkswagen. She owns her own Web design business.

Morgan Fritz

Morgan’s hobbies include riding horses, painting, reading and swimming. She, along with some help from her father, Ron, who is a fire fighter, created this artwork in 2004 to honor the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) during its 50th anniversary as an MDA sponsor. Morgan was profiled on the 2003 Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon. She served as the 2004 MDA Goodwill Ambassador for Missouri and the 2005 MDA National Goodwill Ambassador.

David Mosher

David began painting as a teenager. He was self-employed as an entertainment booking agent for local fairs and festivals. David also was active with MDA fundraisers and the local broadcast of the Jerry Lewis Telethon for many years. He was the recipient of MDA’s 1992 Personal Achievement Award for Michigan.

Tammie created this artwork at age 11 at an MDA-sponsored children’s art workshop held May 15, 1993, at the Detroit Institute of Art. Her service dog, Ty, accompanies her to classes at Schoolcraft College where she’s studying psychology.

Mathew’s artwork depicts a sunset at Camp Marie in Leonardtown, Md., home of the local MDA summer camp. Mathew’s hobbies included music and writing poetry. He collaborated over the Internet with a writer from Wisconsin and together they published a work of poetry called ”The Move.”

Alyssa Schwartzenburg

Alyssa has enjoyed drawing and painting for most of her life. She is a longtime MDA camper and loves attending Rainbow Camp every summer. Alyssa has received awards in school art shows and had one piece exhibited in a local gallery. In addition to creating artwork, Alyssa enjoys listening to music. She plans to attend the University of Louisiana in Lafayette.
